A number of Bucklins are buried in the Swan Point Cemetery of Providence.  This lovely cemetery, considered to be one of the most beautiful garden cemeteries in the United States, has a point  (Swan Point) jutting into the Seekonk River (Swan Point) that allows you a view of the Bucklin ancestral lands across the river.

The imposing central "Bucklin" shaft in the photo above is the family grave area of Samuel Slater Bucklin.  The view from this hill once directly above Swan Point once was to the area on the east side of the Seekonk River where Bucklin lands were located.  Directly across the river is the area where James Bucklin located a mill before the Revolutionary War, and across the river and northeast is Bucklin Island.  (Now the view is lost because of trees untrimmed because of present day environmental regulations regarding trees at water's edge. You have to go down the hill to Swan Point to get the view.)

A computer in the office will allow you to type in the name of a deceased and then the computer will print a nice map for you to show you the burial location.   Those of you with Bucklins in your ancestral line who were buried at Swan Point should spend some time in this beautiful cemetery.  Look at the Swan Point web site.
