The membership certificate is of heavy weight stock, ivory in color, and printed in black plus four colors.

The text under the member's name varies dependant on his/her membership interests or connection.  Members admitted because of descent from a Bucklin may choose to have a particular intermediate ancestor in their line inscribed as the link back to William Bucklin.  (E.g., "in affirmation of her descent from Isaac Bucklin (1673 - 1725) and thence back to William Bucklin (1606 - 1683)."  Members admitted because of descent from a Gaspee Raider may have an inscription showing their direct connection(s)  to one or more of the Gaspee Raiders. Other variations of wording on the certificate are used for persons whose interest in the Society arises because of a desire to further historical research, arises from their participation in historical work,  et cetera.
