The following places can visited in two days of car touring.  The purpose is to quickly acquaint you with historical Bucklin lands of the colonial period, and the geography involved in Providence of 1772.   IF -- and only IF -- you contact us in advance of Gaspee Days, we will arrange to give you as long or short a tour as you wish on the Friday before the parade.   Here are some of the places we can choose to look at.

The First Baptist Church and the 1772 Market Square area on the East side of the Providence River.

North on Main Street to the  Old North Burial Ground, site of the Joseph Bucklin IV family graves.

Pawtucket Falls and Slater Mill, start of the industrial revolution.

William Bucklin lands of the East side of the Seekonk River,  including site of James Bucklin Grist Mill,  Bucklin landing, and Bucklin Island.

James Bucklin land,  and Omega Pond area.

Newman Church cemetery and old Bucklin graves.

Providence Arcade  (The first indoor shopping mall, designed by a Bucklin, gives a chance for a  a quick and interesting lunch or coffee break)
