For the benefit of yourself, historians and future Bucklin Researchers ---
Submit your pre-1900 documents (and photos) by or about Bucklins for us to record
and save.
Our electronic storage gives you a backup. Suppose some disaster (or
simply your own death) resulted in the destruction of the documents and photos you have. Not only future researchers, but your own
descendents a hundred years from now, may want to have the documents and photos available.

Please review the following information.
To maintain the quality, manage the volume, and provide a simple and concise
method for the users of the site, we have the following guidelines.
We keep the Depository in an electronic format. This provides
both maximum preservation for the future, and also maximum availability for serious
researchers.
When you send us a document (or photo):
- tell us the date of the item,
- tell us the source from which you obtained the item,
- tell us who should be credited with furnishing the item, or if you
wish to be anonymous.
- tell us any special specifics that you think would help researchers understand
a special importance of the document or understand the photo.
If you want to know how to send documents or photos --- here it is.

Here is some legal stuff: We reserve
the right to choose the documents and photos we accept and to choose the ones to publish on
our web site, if we publish any, and to determine in all ways whether a
document or photo will be added to the Document Depository. We reserve
the right to discontinue the Depository, at any time, without notice,
although it is presently intended that this Depository will exist as long as the
Joseph Bucklin Society exists. Unless requested otherwise at the time of
submission, it is assumed that the person submitting the photos or document has the
copyright and is releasing the copyright to us for use the submitted item as we
see fit, or that the material is
not copyrighted.
