Family History Genealogy or Bucklin Family History
This page will give you ideas for browsing or research - some sites you may want to visit if you are concentrating on
Bucklin Genealogy. (We assume you have gone to our database which has over
3,500 persons.) Let's suppose you are interested in some ancestors from
Rhode Island.
RICON --
which is --- the
Rhode Island Consortium of Genealogical and Historical Societies (RICON) --- was
established in 1998, and has grown because it is worthwhile. It is a good informal union of genealogical and historical
societies as well as other organizations which have an interest in Rhode Island
family history. We belong to the Consortium. You should browse there for a
while, to get a feel for what is available through those societies.
One easy source for genealogy links and info is
Everton's genealogical helper magazine

The Whipple family has a great information on their family, which includes
information for those digging into American
Revolutionary War history. Like the Bucklins, the Whipples were heavily
involved in the Revolution. Their sites mentions us at their discussion of
Abraham Whipple, who commanded the
longboat flotilla attacking the Gaspee.
Myfamily.com has some websites with genealogical information, but the persons
posting information frequently have wrong information. Ancestry. COM has
message boards which can assist you finding others researching the same family
surname. Likewise,
the Family Tree Maker's site and the pages at freepages. genealogy. rootsweb.com are
sometimes used by Bucklins to post family tree and genealogy,
but, frankly speaking, the information on those sites generally does not give
source references and is not consistently reliable. If you use
information from these sites, regard it as suspect until you have verified the
source for the posted information.
http://familyhistory.com/societyhall FGS is a non-profit organization
comprised of hundreds of genealogical and historical societies, family
associations, and libraries with a combined membership of over 500,000 members.

legal form publishing for attorney
litigation purposes and writes various texts on the subjects of law and ethics.

named is the person shown on the Winthrop Society's colonist list as "William

can help you establish your line of ancestry needed for membership.
We feel constrained to note for you that http://bucklin.homestead.com is
simply a internet point used to alert researchers where we are. No reason
to visit it if you are here. But you might bump into it, so you need to know its
limited use.
