Bucklin family members have always shown traits of courage, zeal, faith, duty, and honor.   There are many notable examples of military service, starting with Benjamin Bucklin, the 17th century son of William Bucklin.  Benjamin was elected a town trooper,. He was slain at the start of an early Indian war when he and nine other men were engaged in an expedition to protect the colony.
