Military
heroes abound in the Bucklin family. One received the Congressional Medal of

We thought you might like to see a painting by a Bucklin (William
Savory
Bucklin 1851-1928 , not only a noted painter, but also part of the the Bucklin
connection with the Phalanx movement of the 19th century social community known
as the Phalanx).
Here is the Bucklin Lilly. It is described in the gardening
magazines
as BUCKLIN - Yellow-purple eyezone Dormant - Diploid - Fragrant 32" tall - Early
Rebloom - 6.0" bloom. It was created by one F. Childs (a registered daylily
cultivar) in 1977. If anyone
knows why it was named Bucklin, let us know.
