Military heroes abound in the Bucklin family. One received the Congressional Medal of Honor.  His Medal of Honor (click here) citation explains his heroic acts.

We thought you might like to see a painting by a Bucklin (William Savory Bucklin 1851-1928 , not only a noted painter, but also part of the the Bucklin connection with the Phalanx movement of the 19th century social community known as the Phalanx).

Here is the Bucklin Lilly. It is described in the gardening magazines as BUCKLIN - Yellow-purple eyezone Dormant - Diploid - Fragrant 32" tall - Early Rebloom - 6.0" bloom. It was created by one F. Childs (a registered daylily cultivar) in 1977.  If anyone knows why it was named Bucklin, let us know.
