information about the 1772 Gaspee Affair, an important contribution of the Bucklin family to the American Revolution.
Without organizations like the Joseph Bucklin Society, much information about
this
important part of the American Revolution would be unknown.
We are a private history and family research and educational organization,
not connected with any religious or political group.
We are known by researchers in the fields of Bucklin and Rhode Island
research, and especially by the specialist historians working on Gaspee
history. We encourage you to visit other sites at the
Rhode Island Consortium of Genealogical
and Historical Societies (RICON), an informal union of Rhode Island
genealogical and historical societies.
We do research! We have documentary
depositories to preserve history. But most of all we coordinate the exchange
of Bucklin data and Colonial History information.
Our goal is to have any Bucklin of the future be able to find their
ancestors of the Revolution that built this country. Only by your

How much does it cost? = $18) This web site and the Joseph Bucklin Society exchange of information can
exist only with your membership support. Membership is $18 for a one year
membership if you pay by credit card subscription. (That's a small amount to allow us to provide you with your
permanent distinguished
membership certificate, and provide you with access to information that
you cannot get anyplace else.) That is a small part of the cost of
maintaining this website and the databases of history we provide.
Our privacy policy. Should you furnish information or apply for membership, all
information that you give will be held in confidence by the Joseph Bucklin
Society. We do not publish or sell our membership lists. Database family
history information about living persons is not made public. We are associated
with no church or political organization.
