The following places can be visited in two days of car touring.  It's a lot packed into two days (but we can choose the pace you wish.) The purpose of this tour is to quickly acquaint you with historical Bucklin lands of the colonial period, and the geography involved in Providence of 1772.   IF -- and only IF -- you contact us in advance of Gaspee Days, we probably can arrange to give you as long or short a tour as you wish on the Friday before the parade, plus guide you on the day of the parade.   Here are some of the places we can choose to look at.

William Bucklin lands of the East side of the Seekonk River, including site of James Bucklin Grist Mill,  Bucklin landing, and Bucklin Island.

Pawtucket Falls and Slater Mill, start of the industrial revolution.

James Bucklin land,  and the Omega Pond area.

Newman Church cemetery and old Bucklin graves.

The First Baptist Church and the 1772 Market Square area on the East side of the Providence River.

The Old North Burial Ground, site of the family graves of Capt.Joseph Bucklin IV.Providence Arcade  (The first indoor shopping mall, designed by a Bucklin, gives a chance for a  a quick and interesting lunch or coffee break)
